FlareSocial works without an account. If you choose to sign in, we store only what is needed to sync your deck to another device. We never ask for your social passwords or tokens, never post on your behalf, and never sell your data.
Who we are
FlareSocial is made by AKA IND Technologies Inc., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the FlareSocial Android app, the web app at app.flare-social.com, and this website. Questions: flaresocial@akaind.ca.
What we collect
- Signed out: nothing is uploaded. Your deck, edits, clips, saved workspaces and settings stay on your device.
- If you sign in (Google, Facebook or an email link): your email address, the display name your sign-in provider shares, and an account ID.
- Cloud sync: your deck (post text and status), saved workspaces, and which content pack each brand uses, so they follow you to a second device. Deletes sync too.
- Technical data: our hosting and authentication providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address and timestamps) for security and reliability.
We do not collect your social media passwords or access tokens, your contacts, or your friends lists, and we do not read your posts on other platforms. When you share a post, the platform’s own app opens and you send it yourself.
Sign in with Google or Facebook
When you sign in with Google or Facebook, they share your name and email address with us, with your permission on their consent screen. We request only basic profile and email access. We cannot post as you and do not read your friends, posts or photos.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your deck in sync across your devices.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Account and sync data is stored with Supabase in its Canada (Central) region. Our websites are hosted by Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf only to run the service. Google and Meta handle your login under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and synced data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something.
Your choices and rights
You can use FlareSocial without an account, and you can export your whole deck to CSV or JSON at any time from the app. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information: see how to delete your data. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
FlareSocial is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
